Cornell University invites nominations for the position of Harold Tanner Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).
The dean of the College of Arts and Sciences is the academic, administrative, and community leader of the College. The next dean will be responsible for building the intellectual, financial, and human capacity and capabilities of the College; furthering its reputation, distinction, and influence; and improving the quality of the student experience.
The dean, who reports to the provost, oversees a team of associate deans and directors, and maintains key relationships with the College’s faculty, staff and students, the deans of other Cornell colleges and schools, and the College’s Advisory Council. The dean will represent the College in interactions with undergraduate and graduate students, staff, alumni, and donors.
